Moire Fashion Shoot

The girls from Moire Fashion in Bondi that shared a business and shop front with Venetia Elaine. All the clothes were made in Sydney and hand dyed by a lady called Janice (who still has Venetia Elaine). Bondi a decade ago still had the remnants of the new age 90's vibe, even though the money had long moved in more was to come, much more. So the money moved in and the Jewish Hakoah Club was demolished, it was a fortress deliberately built facing away from the beach and Moire vanished. These photos were taken at the old Malabar horse range which also caved when the money moved in. Days spent on Bondi Beach and walking home with the waves dressed in hand made and dyed clothes ... eventually I named the brown color 'Cocoa' that I think remains to this day.
